Troy, OH — Miami County ESC welcomed a very special guest to our central office as we kicked off the holiday season! Santa Day 2025 was filled with crafts, laughter, and festive cheer. Miami County ESC employees were invited to bring their families for a chance to meet the man in red and capture some memorable photos.

Families began the morning by brainstorming and writing their Christmas lists, enjoying coloring activities, and sharing donuts together. Before long, it was time to meet Santa himself and for the kids to share what they wanted under the tree this year. From PlayStations and hunting gear to candy and Barbie dolls, he heard a wide range of wishes; each one carefully noted by Old Saint Nick.

One of the highlights of the morning came when Rip, the service dog, wouldn't go anywhere near the big red stranger. That lasted about five seconds until Sheriff Thompson pulled up a chair for Rip to sit in, and he gladly jumped right into place (pictured top-middle)!

This event was a huge success, over 20 families from the ESC came out to welcome Santa's arrival. His yearly visit is a great way for us to bring our families together outside of the typical workday, and it is a chance for everyone to make meaningful memories together.
