This year’s ESC Prom was a day filled with contagious joy and energy
TROY, OH
On Friday May 1st, the Miami County ESC hosted an exciting and memorable prom event at the Cooperative Learning Center / Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The event brought together students from multiple schools across our ESC classrooms to celebrate an amazing year, laugh, and have fun.
Organized and led by our team of special education supervisors with the help of many other ESC staff — this event aims to bring joy, community, and an overall great experience to our students. They showed up ready to rock with many staying put on the dance floor for hours. The event was made special with door prize raffles, a prop picture booth, a visit from the Kona Ice truck, and a crowning ceremony for Prom King & Queen.
The ESC Prom event was made possible through the annual ESC Golf Scramble fundraising event. Each year, the Golf Scramble is held in August to fundraise for the following Prom event in May. Special thanks to Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities for allowing us to use their gymnasium; another thank you to everyone involved who donated their time, effort, and funds to make this year's ESC Prom happen!
