Miss. Embry’s class conducted a science experiment with glow sticks. They saw which temperature of water makes the glow sticks glow brighter and then made fun glow stick accessories to wear!



Mrs. Petty and Mr. Hahn's classes went to Fulton Farms today. They practiced using public transit and bought apples and pumpkins for their life's skills project.

It's starting to look like Halloween in Mrs.Smith's class. The kids are enjoying two different sensory bins this week. One with jello and one with water beads filled with all kinds of fun Halloween goodies. They also decorated the room with cute yarn pumpkins that they made.







Miss. Embry’s class taste tested this week’s Crumbl Cookie flavors. They expressed their opinions on the cookies and rated their favorite. The majority enjoyed the Double Fudge Brownie the most!



Last week, Mrs. Peltier's class used their dyed rice to make spooky sensory bins! The students followed a "recipe" to create a spooky soup, to work on mathematics, sequencing and fine motor skills!






Mrs. Prenger’s class voted on what fall recipes that they would like to learn how you make, made a shopping list, found the items at Walmart including deciding which items were the cheapest, and then paid for the items. They all love to cook!




Miss. Embry’s class got to try out a new sensory bin filled with slimy spaghetti, spooky spiders, creepy crawly eyeballs, and skeleton hands!


Mr. Hahn's class completed an Experiment in class today! Exploring Fall Colors!




Miss. Embry’s class colored aluminum foil, sprayed with water, and pressed their pumpkin page on it to create a fun tie-dyed pumpkin for their science craftivity of the week!



Mrs Ruzicka’s class took a trip to Meijer on the county transit bus. While there, they used the grocery lists they planned in class and shopped for specific items for our lunch tomorrow. We also practice social skills and money skills.



This week, in Mrs. Naas' room, we are talking about Fat Bear Week. We made Paint Splat Bears and for our recipe we made Hibernating Bear Snacks!!!!










We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all those who sponsored and participated in our 2025 prom golf scramble fundraiser this past Saturday! It was a beautiful day for an amazing cause!!

On Friday, our Cookson, Junior High and one High School Classroom's enjoyed the day together at Crossway Farms! They were able to do several activities, play in a corn pit, eat a picnic lunch and pick out a pumpkin to take home! 🌽🧺🎃

Mrs. Smith's class has a popcorn business and will be selling popcorn on Fridays before school! Today was the grand opening and they sold out!! All profits go towards an end of the year class field trip!




Today was another successful trip to the Animal Shelter for two of Mrs. Prenger’s students. They continued to learn how to ride The Miami County Public Transit, how to clean litter boxes and cat cages, and clean and fill water bowls. They also enjoyed being able to pet the cats!




Mrs. Olivarez created some amazing active learning materials for Miami East preschoolers with funds received from the Miami County Foundation.

Mrs. Peltier's students had fun making salt-art pumpkins! They drew pumpkins, put on glue, poured salt and then added watercolor paints to create their art!






Mrs. Peltier's class had fun creating colored sensory bin fillers! The students love exploring the sensory bins, and these will turn into a Fall Search-And-Find and a Spooky Soup sensory bin.
