We had teachers learning in the dark today when the power went out during our dyslexia training. Nobody knows flexibility like special education staff!
During our Opening Day – All Staff Meeting today, we acknowledged our 22-23 Employees of the Year: Elaine Brown, a COTA, and Kerri Spagnola, a Preschool Intervention Specialist. Congratulations Elaine and Kerri!
Today the Miami County ESC kicked off the 23-24 school year with our all staff meeting held at the Piqua High School. The staff arrived energetic and ready to start a new year. This energy continued through a game of Jeopardy on All the Things You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know About the MCESC. Thank you to the staff members that participated in the game as contestants and Bethany Whidden for her creation of the game and as the Game Show Host.
The Miami County ESC Board of Education recently awarded the Franklin B. Walter scholarship to Libby Shaffer from Covington. Libby is headed to Ohio University to study biochemistry.
We want to extend our deepest condolences to family and friends of Joseph Cruz who recently passed away. Joey was a student at Tipp City High School and always had a smile that would light up the room! You will be missed. 🧡
